COPD and Dementia

Standard

When my aunt had a heart attack a few weeks ago, we learned that she has severe COPD. She’s had an oxygen study and will have to have nighttime oxygen…which to her is a bad thing, but she won’t get winded making her bed…and she’s been on Symbicort for a month. WOW, what a difference just the Symbicort has made. She had a constant dry cough all afternoon and evening and in her sleep. The cough is gone. Completely gone. The Symbicort can’t take the place of oxygen, she needs both, but she’s significantly better than she was a month ago and it’s easy for me to administer the inhaler.
